Hi There,

Just bought my first Mazda, 1999 RX7 Turbo II Convertable.

I am very pleased with the car but I don\'t like the Standard Alloys and the Dump Valve is too quiet.

Any sugestions would be gratefully appreciated.

Regards,

Leigh

hiya, did you mean 1991?? the turbo II\'s were only made before 1992.

anyways, its a good idea to keep an eye on ebay theres always bits and pieces coming up on there second hand such as alloys and dump valves.

When i first got my rx7 the first thing i did was take it to a tuner to get it all checked over just to check if there was any small problems and i thought mine was running ok but turned out my first turbo wasant boosting properly.  There are plenty of tuners on there to choose from all depends which area of the country you are from, im from the south west so my choices are:

dragon performance (exeter)
re worx (portsmouth)
rx motors(nr bournmouth)

If you want to buy new/used parts then tuners can get hold of most parts for you including alloys, there sometimes have some second hand alloys lying around best to contact some of them, or there are plenty of websites where you can get parts for rx7\'s, see some of the links above.

A good site i have found for new wheels is //www.takakaira.co.jp, there are some amazing wheels on there but some are a bit pricey and of course there is the shipping from japan.

hope this helps a bit

Might be better posted in the relevant sections, i.e. General Technical, Wheels & Tyres?

I\'m sure a mod will move it soon :)

I would like to know a bit more about the types of alloys that can be fit onto the FC, as I have read that they are a bit funky with the offsets unlike nissan?

Take a look at the wheels on my T11 cab. on the thread:- How many FC\'s are there [ g.miller]
they came from Halfords and cost £700 with tyres but i would recomend that you only buy the wheels and fit Good year F1 tyres.

You want to be keeping the alloys from the vert, as they were lightweight BBS items (much lighter than the 16" from the coupe)

I managed to fit 17x8 and 17x9 from an FD on my TII with just a bit of spacer use on the fronts
