As I\'m going to be buying a house in a few months I\'m gonna have to put my RX-7 RSR up for sale soon. Problem is that there are very few late-model Rex\'s to compare prices so I\'m not sure what to put it up for. There are only 2 RSR\'s in the UK, the other one coincidentally is up for sale at £12000 though it\'s had £50k of mods(!).
So what\'s it worth? It\'s a totally standard, unmolested \'97 model in lovely condition. Just had a brand new exhaust, front disks and pads. Negatives? It has 55k on the clock, and in January someone hit the back (damage was very light though).
So, what\'s it worth?

A car is worth what someone is willing to pay for it
Put it up for what you want for it, and and accept that people will make an offer
I reckon you\'ll get 9k if you are lucky, rebuild cant be far away.
For a quick sale, 7K

Could this be the Hoffs new ride ?? There is no driver !!
It\'s KIT II
It must be worth a lot more than I thought !!
Well spotted!! Yeah it\'s been photoshopped to look like it\'s moving, forgot there\'s nobody driving when I did it though! :D
Awe Steve that is a shame you have to sell. Best advice would be to get a compression test done prior to selling, knowing the 1st owner I am sure this car has had very little abuse, and the engine would be good for another 20+k, cars later than an \'M\' plate are rare, I would suggest repairing what damage you have, get the comp test done to prove the engine and stick it up for 10k, the advantage you have over mine is it is easier to insure being stock.
Best of luck :cheers
Thanks John, damage is already sorted and it\'s back to A1 condition. Good point about the compression test, though not sure who could do it local to me - South Wales is a bad place to own a Rex as nobody caters for them :-(
Not sure I\'ll get 10k though as it\'ll be percieved to be close to rebuild time which\'ll put some off, though you are right about late RX\'s being a rare find...
I thiught the rsr only came in yellow yours looks the same as mine and thats a type rs on a p plate (may be wrong though) :p

RSR was available in yellow and black difference with the RS and RSR is the spec, they come standard with the big brake kit, the RZ dif ratio and some rather nice dials :mmmm
Steve..
is quite hard to sell at this time of year, may be wait till April then u will have better chance...was there any structural damage at the back when it got hit or just the skin got damaged.
They replaced the carrier and repaired the bumper, got off quite lightly fortunately :)
It is the wrong time of year to sell, fortunately I\'m not moving out for a few months yet so I\'m not in any mad rush.

And Bilsteins and black alloys (though Mazda UK replaced mine with silver ones when they imported it in \'99).
put it up for 15K and dont except a penny less.
rx7\'s really need to go in value
sooo much car for the money
I seriously like the way you\'re thinking James :D
