Title: Freddy\'s Ride (Circuit Car). 56k!
Post by: Freddy on February 09, 2006, 08:56:33 AM
Been lurking in the member\'s section for a while!

Finally got round to doing this. Blame it on the long flight home with little to do!

Below are some pictures and spec of my circuit car. Hopefully, it will see more action this year than it did last year, after the remaining work is done. Not suited for everyday driving so stay\'s in the garage whilst I drive the other FD.

Any and all comments appreciated and would encourage getting the car finished swiftly!  :)

Is 56k the size of the pictures, the mileage on the engine, or how much you\'ve spent on the car, or how much you would sell it for?  :-)

Very Very Nice for the desired purpose.

I like the old border type III kit. I had a pic of a silver one as my windows desktop for a couple of years.
I used to dream about the Border 550hp Non sequential Twin Turbo kit.
But your engine looks just perfectly purposeful.

Any way.

It will look even better when you ditch those MS02\'s ( sorry just not a fan ) and get some rims to keep the brakes cool.! HAHA

AWESOME

Always liked those front wings, but with the wastegate venting to atmos liks that, I seriously doubt you will be on track for very long!

Thanks for the comments guys!

Martiny; You\'re right, the car has been improved in all aspects leaving the total amount spent best worth not calculating! :)

Rextreme; The Border III kit is also sweet, I havent seen in silver so if you could post a picture that would be great!

I have a set of Regamasters for track usage so the brakes are allowed to be cooled. Off track, the MS02\'s are on - however, I\'ll look for a replacement once everything else is finished on the car\'s setup. What rims do you think? You\'re right, the twin turbo kit offered by Border is awesome - I like how the two turbo\'s sit alongside each other when you open the bonnet, just a little expensive!

Fish; You could well be right - planning on taking this to the MRC track day. For usage, I should be aiming at the few unsilenced days and Nurburgring. :)

Normski; Get a move on chap. We want to see you race the 3 rotor. :D

For now, we are fitting bigger injectors, and tidying up the interior a little. What else needs doing?  :p

Car looks great Freddy, although I\'d have to agree with Rextreme that you should probably lose those MSO2\'s as I don\'t think they do anything for it.  What about some TE37\'s instead, the new \'06 model would look amazing against the black, nice and moody.

Ragermasters are cool.

but since you did ask. I think these :Hammer

17" Bronze rays CE28 would do nicely for the track.
Remember, Its no good in the garage.

couldnt do the brakes but you get the idea.

TE37 are good, But... IMO there is a problem with FD offset and TE37.
Unless you get the GTR Size like in the image above ( which dont fit normal guards ), They look flat and dont get the good spoke design of the +18 offset GTR version. In 17" dont look that special. so the following pic is misleading, it wouldnt look this good.

You will need to get this sorted before Brands. You wont get more than 2 laps. They are strict there!

Forgot I hadnt replied to this!

The new TE37\'s just look the business.

Liking the photoshop Russ! The CE28N\'s does set the car off well, totally complimenting the car. Would you mind dropping me a quick e mail, need to do a bit of playing to find suitable wheels for the two tone fd. :)

Fish, thanks for letting me now. Wondering now, what I will do! Probably fit the apexi tailpipe kit for the exhaust noise, as for the external wastegate - I doubt I can do much else other than plumb it in to the exhaust!

Ben - that would mean you\'re going to have problems too on track!?  :Hammer

Freddy, get the wastegate bit done first and try and find someone with a noise level meter.

Found someone local with a noise level meter locally. I\'ll be taking the FD down next week to see just how loud. :)

Russ; I got your mail just now as I added you to contacts list. Went straight through to spam box!  :2Confused

Freddy, look into my eyes, you are feeling sleepy !!! You must sell the wheels and the exhaust to gandy, for next to nothing :cool
3, 2, 1 and wake up, remembering nothing!!!! :Nono!
How does it sound with the screamer pipe, mines getting fitted now and cant wait, but im still unsure wether i will like it. No doubt the mrs will having something to say on the matter :spank, but my wastegate exhaust is tiny, hope it doesnt set stuff on fire, eeeeeeeeeeeek :WaveBye

The sound of an external wastegate is awesome, even better when you open up the wastegate and scare the pedestrians. :D
