Title: Octane for standard ECU
Post by: JimboRX-7 on September 24, 2003, 06:06:58 PM
Assuming it has a standard ECU, what octane should I run my RX-7 on when it arrives?

I\'ve looked through some old threads;  Some say it\'s tuned for 100 RON, but others say it\'ll be OK on optimax at 98 RON.

If I need to increase the octane, what\'s a good booster?  Was thinking of using pro-boost

Do people add anything else to prevent wear and aid sealing?  I was speaking to a bloke at Japvillage who said he runs his pink triple rotor on straight 2stroke!

TIA

Optimax / SUL plus octane booster for me, takes it up to around 100RON which is Jap fuel.  You can probably get away with running it without the octane booster as the stock map is rich, but I personally wouln\'t run the risk.

I use NF Race Formula, but have used Millers previously when I was caught short.
