Title: Flashing seatbelt sign
Post by: Mave on February 07, 2006, 08:58:34 PM
Anyone got any idea what\'s causing this? I\'ve owned the car for about 6 months, and never had the seatbelt warning light on. Last weekend it came on, flashing on and off. It doesn\'t matter whether or not I\'m sitting in the car or whether I\'ve got my seatbelt plugged in or not. Same goes for the passenger side. I know there\'s nothing electrical connected on the passenger side, I haven\'t had chance yet to pull out the drivers seat for a look. Sometime after half an hour or so it flashes more slowly, sometimes it stops! Any ideas? It\'s doing my head in as it makes a ticking noise like and indicator as well as flashing :(

Theres a little box under the dash that controls this light. Thats probably got some moisture in it, and is shorting it out.

My car does this and I just turn the stereo up a bit. But it is annoying

Thanks for the tip mate, to be honest without a wiring diagram I was at a loss as to where to start!
