Post by: ska on February 06, 2006, 02:01:08 PM
Considering an upgrade....wanna be able to stop pretty well cos I dont wanna do all this work on it then wrap it round a tree so could anyone tell me what would be a good idea for a brake upgrade on an RX4??

Cheers,
Colin.

Hi Colin, check out Mikelmr\'s thread on his 323 as he has put the much improved series 3 rx7 (fb) brakes on his. I know they arnt the same struts but might be close? Also do a quick search on ausrotary as you might be able to find what discs bolt straight on. If my real dodgy memory is kinda right then there is a vented disc from some sort of audi that bolts straight on and also i think from a toyota tarago?
Good luck and let us know how you get on.
  cheers, michael.

yep, that and talk to Richard and Ray. They have both uprated the brakes on thier oldschool cars. The struts are pretty much interchangeable but you need to correct the camber if you go for the later RX7 struts.
