Title: Type Of Fuel For Jap Import
Post by: tyson23 on January 28, 2006, 07:40:53 PM
hi
all
i have a 92 jap import and have been running it on normal unleaded for  about 8 months since owning it,
was wondering if i should be using the higher octane fuel
the mods to car are single turbo, modified ecu to cop with engine upgrades, greddy injectors and 5inch exhaust system still has main cat tho
if i dont use better octane fuel will it harm the engine.

thanks  :wave

I\'m, no expert but I would be running it on Optimax or Tesco\'s 99.

I was using optimax and tesco 99 in my import until I had her remapped. I would say to stick a tank of optimax or tesco 99 in and see if it makes a difference.

what he said. Not worth risking it on gut-rot 95ron!

OR.............

Stick octane booster in before you fill up with 95 ron.

Not my prefered choice but it does work
