Title: Toad alarm/turbo timer issues
Post by: RAW on January 25, 2006, 11:06:22 PM
i have a toad Ai606 cat 1 alarm, and i used to be able to turn the ignition off, get out, and lock car/arm alarm remotely, then just leave it. after the tt ran out the engine turned off and the car was secure.

since i disconnected the battery(i assume thats what has changed it?), when i try and do the same thing, the car still locks initially but the indicators dont flash and it doesnt make a noise. then when the tt runs down and the engine turns off the doors unlock themselves! luckily i discovered this fairly soon before leaving it.

does anyone have any ideas how to set it how it was before-even sextons who installed it weren\'t able to help!?

this is not good! I have read that a lot of people have had issues with turbo timers and alarm systems such as this .... but you don\'t want my advice ...

well ok then: get rid of the turbo timer!  :Thumbs-up

I have exactly the same problem as you do. Although, mine has never worked properly!  :3Confused

If you find a solution to this problem then let me know  :Laugh

hehe sorry mate, not the turbo timer. they are not that expensive, could get one, but don\'t really like to get into all that engine/electrical mess that can lead to the problems you and many others are experiencing - look what happened when my alarm went, complete horseturd  ;)

obviously there are other bits in alfred that DO need stealing  :Tongue1

hi mate I have the same alarm as you.  I have had the issues from the beginning.

As I never leave the car until it is safely turned off and locked I just took out the turbo timer!!
