Title: Alarm as turbo timer?
Post by: probedb on January 25, 2006, 08:00:37 PM
Just got my car back from the alarm place.

I was asking about the turbo timer and apparently they can add a module that will allow me to use the alarm as a turbo timer, I can press a button on the remote, take the key out, arm the system and walk away!

Just thought that was cool :) It\'s a cat 1 Clifford system btw.

Aye!

Got one on my clifford instead of the Blitz timer that was on her. I was told by Huets that the old Blitz unit couldn\'t be intergrated into the new alarm system. :xconfused
Came as part of the alarm so I wasn\'t really fussed. :p

insurance company didnt like the idea of my FET timer and it couldnt be hooked up to the clifford, so got the clifford timer on 3mins set time and if i wanna turn it off before the time u just push the button from inside ur house.  wish id got the auto start system now, but it was about an extra 150-200 notes!!!

yeah i\'ve got this on my clifford too.

IIRC they can preset the time you want it to run for, handy to use if your in a rush.

But, i also got them to leave the greddy turbo timer linked in too, i can use this as long as i dont lock it with the clifford remote - it will switch the engine off.  Once its done leave and lock the car as normal.

Best of both worlds  :Thumbs-up
