Hi Crispyj,

Have a good search around on the forum, everyone has their own opinion as to who is best etc. etc. so it is best for you to gather your information from the forum before making a decision on where to go.

Going to the right tuner is important and if you have to travel further it can be well worth it.

Hay Crispy

You pay your money and you take your car to who you think is the best, go for who has the rep with rotaries, they are quite different to your normal boinger  There are a number of guys on here who can map your car - dependant on your ECU, some have thier own RR others will do it on the road, it all depends on what you intend to use the car for and how you have modded it, to map a car with the potential of 400+ takes some cearfull planning and ensuring you have all the safety factors included including stopping it, making sure you have a strong enough drive train the cooling system is up to scratch.
Have a look in the vendors section ask for the telephone numbers of people who have had mapping done to ensure you are getting what you want. You can get 400 quite easily now, but will it be drivable, will it deliver the power as you want it???????

Crispy listen to what Johns telling you big hp numbers are great for pub braggin rights but its got to be usable and you need the roads to use it. You\'d be better less peak hp and more usable power down the rev range. I\'m luck i\'ve a extra rota to spool my snail so i get low rpm boost and no lag but on a 13b you\'ll be looking at having a certain amount of lag and high revs to get boost for that amount of Hp and if most of the people on here running 400+rwhp are honest there\'s not that many times when the weather conditions/roads allow you to  use it all anyway. I know 90% of the time i\'ve got mine turned down to 10psi.
Don\'t get me wrong i\'m not telling you not to go for it when i turn mine up its mental its just a lot of money for something you use only 10% of the time and its the little bits and pieces you don\'t think of to make it safe hp that cost the most when you add it all up.(uprated fuel pump, uprated/extra injectors, surge tank, fuel pressure reg, engine mounts or brace, uprated intercooler and or water injection...etc etc

In no particular order but memory order  :2Rolleyes :

Dragon
ReWorks
WGT
Hayward rotary
JayDee
Jimmys ( i think )

Lots of fence sitting going on but from my own experience of them I\'ll continue to take my car back to Max at Re:worx for tuning.

I had a healthy 293rwhp from a virtually stock setup (de-cat, apexi, air-filters, uprates pump and rebuilt ported engine) but the number mean nothing unless you use them ;)

Indeed lots of Fence sitting...  :chat

I\'ve had mine mapped twice - once at RE:Worx and once at WGT and I\'d say I am happy with both places.

They\'re friendly, helpful and both do a top job.  The Dynos each shop uses are different so it\'s hard to make a comparison between my first setup and second but I\'m down @ RE:Worx on the 11th of Feb getting the car dyno\'d there.

Not fence sitting just trying to be objective :D  As you live up Lowestoft way you will have a trip to go to any of those mentioned. A word of caution though if you have not had experience of a high powered RWD car I would maybe look at progressing to that number so that you get used to it there is a BIG  difference between 250+ and 350+ and the way that power is delivered.
I would add that having owned mine for over 5 years the only company who tunes mine is REworx, having said that all the other suspects have good reps.

Slight thread hi-jack

Hey John,

Are you running a T04R on your car - what\'s the A/R on the turbo and where does yours spool up?

Cheers

Dave

Mines a hi-bred TO4E with a 60 comp and a big exhaust soon to change  , it delivers 1.05bar from about 4.2k, looking at a smaller exhaust to deliver boost far sooner

Hey John,

Whats the trim on the exhaust side - I\'ve got a HKS T04R with a .96 and it spools around 3800 and has hit full boost of 1.2 bar at about 5000.  I think really I should have gone for the smaller exhaust housing option and perhaps stumped up the $$ for the Z :(

I\'m hoping that by porting the motor the exhaust flow should improve and hence the spool.  I\'d like to get up to around 1.7bar with a new eccentric shaft later this year / early next.  What\'s the setup on your motor (feel free to e-mither me rather than post on the forum - david__ninian@    hotmail.com)

obviously no spaces.

Sorry to Hijack but I\'ve got a Hks T04r with 0.81 a/r housing (iirc) and I was thinking of going bigger, may be interested in a swap if you\'re serious monkey! Fire off an email if so.

As for tuners, heard lots of good things about Reworx, that\'s where my car will be going once finished!

As far as I recall my exhaust is 1.15 hense the lag :(  Having spent more time looking into how these turbo thingys work you need to match your porting to the amount of flow you require...... far to complicated for me, I have just a rudimentary grasp of it, I do know that the porting and engine setup I have with the correct sized turbo I should see +500atw  ......watch this space :mmmm
