Which are the best air filters to get an rex fluttering like a cossie when letting off.
Do rx7s run recirc dvs as standard ? where abouts are they, has anyone else done this on an rx7 ?

Thanks
Sam

that fluttering is cossies that dont run a dump valve and is the air flowing back over the turbine blades..not a good idea for long term thats why cars have dump valves

Only one is a Blow off valve! This fits on to the "Y" pipe where the pipes from the turbos join into one, the other is a pressure relief valve........ something to do with the sequential turbo set up, so I\'m led to believe?!!!

So the question is can you get compression surge on an rx7 ? as that noise makes me go weak at the knees ! i hate the sound of dump valves

is the chattering not the waste gate noise coming back up through the filter once you have let off ??????

it\'s the compressed air in the inlet (post turbo) trying to escape through the turbo. When you close it\'s path into the engine by lifting the throttle, the air has to go somewhere.
A lot of people (including many journos) refer to it as wastegate chatter but it\'s simply not.
