Title: K&N Panel Filter
Post by: kermit on January 16, 2006, 04:01:36 PM
Had a search around, but can\'t find any info.  Does anyone use the K&N panel filter in their standard airbox or know how well it performs in comparison to an induction kit?

When I finally get a PFC and have it mapped would I see much difference in performance between the two?

Cheers,

Martin

I have one in mine, havent had it mapped so couldnt tell you if its better or not I\'m afraid.

Have seen posts and a write up in Jap Performance by Clive saying that it makes a difference and can be better than an induction cone kit because it is getting a cold air feed.

Tbh though I wouldnt expect a huge difference in performance,

Gareth

it performs well, and your not using the cold air from the engine bay.
I am a K&N distributor, you can buy online here.

That was my thinking.  A good supply of cold air must be better than slightly more warm air!

Thanks guys.

Hi Gareth,

This time Jap Performance only wanted to deal with very basic upgrades, the K+N off a slight improvement for not much money.

Hope this helps
