Are there any signs that a car has good comperssion apart from the 10-8-10 boost pattern, like the exhaust poping when you take your foot off from high revs??
Another goos sign is when the car easially starts from cold AND hot
LleedsLad - the popping is normal, its not a good or a bad sign . Ricco is coorect, the car should start easily when the engine is hot.
The boost pattern is nothing to do with compression, either, just means the Turbo control parts are working correctly.
ok so best thing to do is a compression test i suppose before i part with my money!
