Here is my new 92 rx7 with a genuine 23000 miles on it.Bought it from Seymour pope but it was off the road for the first 2 weeks due to a botch job on things like wiring, electric aerial, wrong size number plates, plus other little things which all mounted up.

Dan
Check them f00king wheels...increadible:cool
Very nice mate!
Dan!!
Stuart,
I am glad to see the RX7 is still looking in good shape. Not very happy about you comments !!!
Firstly i mentionned that the wirring for the stereo was not 101% hence, given the time scale. That is why i gave you £50 of my own money to have it re-installed in your own time. Not forgetting i spent £120 on a new sony headunit because the other one wasn\'t perfect.
Number plates? They were not incorrect. I put these on all of our RX7\'s. What was the problem???
Think you are forgetting the fact that you said it was the best example you\'d seen, and was hands above the rest. Thanks for expressing that on the forum.
Grade 4 car with correct mileage. THANKS FOR METIONNING THAT !!!! And the fact that it\'s in near new condition.
I take pride in sourcing the best possible RX7, and any other vehicles . Hence why you bought the car of me, and not another importer.

Hi Philip , Your mail to the forum has prompted a quick response from ourselves , surely in the best interest of your reputation you would not want to get in to a public debate on the forum regarding the sale of our R X 7 ; Particularly if I start to list all the true facts of the transaction .
If you wish to discuss this privately , by all means give me a call .
All I wish to say is Q . Are these the plates that were on the car at time of sale , if not then why did I change them , amongst other issues this was of the least priority requiring my immediate attention .
I admitt to being a perfectionist , I did not expect the car to be perfect but for £11,000 , for a 1992 car , pretty dam close .
We sought out the car , not the dealer !
Hi Stuart,
I\'m not trying to be rude, and i understand that the number plates were not the perfect size. But i have only recently found a company that would supply me with the larger plates.
My main concern is that you haven\'t said that i actually supplied you with a really nice example, which would have been nice. I did try an contact, but you were not in.
Anyway i hope you are okay and you are enjoying the car, she is a beauty.
Kindest regards,
Philip
PS Really hope i haven\'t given you the wrong impression, it\'s just it took me months to find that car, sorry about the plates.
Hi Stuart,
http://www.gtgrafix.com/ will make up whatever size No Plates you require to fit your bumper recess exactly .
And you can even have Mazdarotaryclub.com printed along the bottom as some people already have already if you wanted , he he.
All the best Clive
clive@mazdarotaryclub.com
//www.mazdarotaryclub.com
You must also remember that some people don\'t like a number plate that fills the whole of the recess. Those Rover 75 and Jaguar S-Type number plates are horrendous.
I\'d prefer the smallest amount of yellow that is possible on the back of my (black) car.
It\'s really a very small niggle and one not to get too annoyed about. Whenever you buy a 2nd hand (and even a new) car there will be things you don\'t like about it. Mine had a horrible D-shaped steering wheel on it, some people like that though.
I will always have to do modifications to any car I buy to get it \'just the way I want it\'
That is one boootiful lookin motor....got to get me one...If only I had more money.
Got to agree with Henning there , l have seen things like brand new zillion dollar Mercs and other posh cars with Number plates that are fitted like the dealer really doesn\'t care because he\'s made the sale and then even fitted them on with MAHOOSIVE self tapping screws that could double as Anchors for the Titanic ( see told you l was old )
Thankyou the inventor of double sided tape so we don\'t have to drill holes in our beloved cars anymore.
All the best Clive

rgds
Phew,i\'m pleased others like them aswell, i thought i was going to get flamed for excessive "bling loving"
Dan!!
Look like the 17" BBS\'s that come on the RZ - but polished rather than the RZ\'s anthracite power coating...
Dear Stuart,
That is one hell of a beautiful beastie. Have fun!
fdman
Those are definetly not the bbs wheels that come on a rz definetly much nicer much much nicer.
rgds
Sorry mate, I was suggesting they looked a bit like polished RZ rims - not that they WERE RZ\'s ;)
For starters Stuart\'s are splits and have less spokes than RZ BBS\'s :)
R.
Thanks for all your nice comments. The wheels are 18inch Kranze,These must be a japanese make.
Damn thats nice, didnt think you could get silver 1992\'s? anyone lovely lookin car. still trying to decide which rx7 to get......still have no idea what im doing.
Stuart,
Recieved the mileage cert yet ???
Just been looking at the car on the web, looks beautiful. Any new pic\'s.
Regards,
Philip
PS Any nice comments ???
Hello there guys,
interesting reading about the car, i have seen a few cars on SPIMPORTS and was in touch with phil a few times last year about buying a rx7, must say his cars are generally very nice.
Stuart though for £11000 i\'d expect a nice car no arguements there.
I see you are in Stoke mate, i will let you know of the next jap car meet in Derby you can pop down if you get a chance normally last sunday of each month go to following for more info //www.davewilkinsgtr.co.uk
Gurj
mmmm i love the wheels too!
how does she drive stuart?
I\'ll stick up for Phillip on the quality of the rx7s he supplies. Mine (black \'95 RS) was very good and hasn\'t (touch wood) had any problems with the exception of the usual split hoses and not being supplied with the locking wheel nut adaptor.
Phil - only issues I would have is that you seem a bit disorganised. You gave me the impression that the car would be ready when it wasn\'t etc, told me car had the 16bit ecu when it didn\'t and left me waiting at the station when I came to collect if for forty minutes.... not the most professional manner in which I have been dealt with! That said, driving over to mine to bring the car over for a test drive because it hadn\'t been ready when you\'d said before was a much appreciated gesture - as was your no pressure sales approach.
For the record - I\'m also still waiting for the "mileage conversion" certificate you promised so that I can prove what the ODO meter should be since the km->miles conversion. I\'ve been meaning to chase it up for a while now.
Edited to say that Phil seems like a genuinely nice bloke and his (mum?) makes a good cup of tea too. :p
thats a lovely squeky clean rex you\'ve got there mate! well nice!
you should take it to santa pod this sunday!
and peace2make, i bet you drive yours down the A13 towards barking in the mornings don\'t ya? i see ya all the time whilst sat in the bloody standstills!
ps, i prefer the smaller plates personally, and i\'ve never bought a car where i didn\'t replace the plates! its all down to prefrence and at about £20 there a snip!:) :) :)
Yep that\'s me on a wednesday morning. What are you in I\'ll keep an eye out for you?
I think I met you at one of the Dartford meets too. You and your mate turned up quite late as I recall just as myself and David McIntyre were leaving.
Peace2make,
i believe the rx you bought was the one i was looking at buying a while back, hows it seem??
I was lookig at that one and the one with the red outline on the alloys.
Looked a very nice/clean motor though but at the time i opted for the Escort Cosworth instead!!

If it was the one Mr. Pope had up for sale last September than it\'ll probably be the one.
Shes a little beaut so far (touch wood). After reading about the issues with modding rx7s I decided I wanted one that hadn\'t had much done to start with as it had to be a daily driver for me.
Only got a cat back aftermarket exhaust at the moment and it still seems quick enough for me at the moment.
:)
Guys,
In the spirit of fairness:
After the posts to this forum, Philip Pope (Seymour Pope Imports) phoned me up over the weekend and appologised for not sending me my mileage cert and the issue I had with the locking wheel nuts.
Even better: to his credit, he has also offered to refund me the cost of removing and replacing the locking wheel nuts originally supplied on the car (work done by Steve @ DS Engineering).
Obviously I await everything in the post  .... but I\'m very impressed with Phil for this good-will gesture and it earns a big :cheers fella from me.
