Hi all,
Does anyone know a way of turning off the warning buzzer on the Defi BF Link Control Unit II (short of stabbing the speaker with a pen...).
I know how to change when the warnings kick in, but when you just turn the ignition on, but don\'t start the car (i.e. sitting listening to the radio as I do sometimes at lunch) - the oil pressure warning screams at me.
Short of sitting with the car idling, I wonder if there is any way of shutting it up.
Cheers for now, Craig
Hello craig, (and everyone else) this is my 1st post :flamed Great Club!!
there no way to silence them, but what i do is simply,
while idling press record. Let it record for a few seconds then stop it.
Now press play. (it should start to play what you just recorded.)
Now press and hold the UP or DOWN arrow for a second and this pauses everything for as long you like including that wretched alarm.
Once u start the car again it returns to normal.
Hope that helps mate. :cool
Thats exactly what i do too.
bringing up an old post!! :D :2eek
I\'m having this issue also... i\'ve only had the car 3 days and i am the same and want to punch the oil pressure guage as it beeps constantly at me!!! when starting from cold it will not come on until is warm/moving temp and then will not shut up until i start driving.... but then everytime i stop the car at lights or in slow moving trafffic etc... its comes back!!! is there a way of disabling the sound but not the light? (so can still be used)
It has been checked out by Pip at WGT and he said that the guage is working correctly but i can\'t live with this noise much longer!!
BEEEEeeeeeEEEEEEEE..............EEEEEEppp:2Mad
any help would be awesome!! :D
Plus does anyone have a digital manual or one they can scan in for me?... I have one but it\'s all in Japanese!! :3Confused

Thanks
if they are beeping when your at rest, you need to reduce the "warn set" level.
press warn set, until the LED is flashing on the oil presure gauge, press down until the warning reaches about 1 bar (or whatever you want to set it to) and then press warn set again.
voila...
Nice... thanks mate.
I\'ll give that a go in the morning after my shift tonight:Laugh
