Hi , I will be removing my engine for a rebuild in the next few weeks, It has been over heated after the top hose exploded on me during the summer. It still starts and runs fine without any water but did have water pressure issues first, hence the hose. It was one of the reason that i bought the car to see what these engines are all about. Parts for the engines do not seem to be readily available from my normal suppliers, can anyone give me some info and rough prices on rotor housings, rebuild kits etc. Is it usually recomended to change the end housings, can you get all the parts, any modifications that would be recomended and for what gain while the engine is apart. Manythanks for any advise.
All the parts are available from Mazda. Somtimes the prices are OK, other times.... OUCH!
I think these sell some non Mazda parts...

And did I mention they do a rebuild video, too? :-)
There is a Haynes manual, and you can get the factory manuals, too. Search on here for manuals, they are available online somewhere, too.
Hi Martiny, thanks for the info, I have already got the video and manuals for the car, I was just wanting some advise on where in the uk to source parts, and rough prices i should expect to pay. I usually try to use local suppliers to support local business but there are none in this area apart from MAzda who seem to be quite expensive even with 15% discount and they seem inexperienced with rotary engines and the parts......I don\'t think they have sold many RX7\'s in our area through the years
Mazda is the place to buy the parts really,15% discount is quite good.
Regards
Carl
