Title: Amemiya Re-dom & HKS F Con
Post by: D2BBA on January 10, 2006, 05:29:13 PM
Hi folks Happy New Year to one and all! :Party

Just a quick one,

Has anyone got any experience of fitting an Amemiya Re-dom ECU or an HKS F CON TURBO  ECU to their FD?  I know that the holy grail is the Apexi Power FC (for its many tunable advantages), however at present all I want for mods are a full exhaust system (including de-cat) and filters, with a little boost increase.  They are soooo cheap to buy 2nd hand!

I belive that the main problem is that no one knows what RON of fuel these fellas are mapped to run with.  Can this problem be avoided by running on Optimax with an octane booster?

Cheers
Chris

there was a long thread recently about the HKS F CON V versus the PFC, do  search. The F CON is a better ECU, BUT hardly anyone in the UK maps them - no rotary tuners anyway. Not sure about the Re-A as most of the uprated Japanese ECUs are mapped to run on 100RON fuel.

Buying and mapping a power fc is far cheaper than a rebuild. Enough said i think :wave
