Title: Adrian Flux
Post by: Mart1n on January 05, 2006, 01:50:45 PM
Afternoon all.

I am currently insured with adrian flux... and I am selling my 200sx with a view to buying an RX7.

I have found the car I want... but I have phoned Flux today and they have said my price will be £2357 for an RX7.

I am 22 years old (23 in june) and I have 4 years NCB.... I am looking to buy a fairly unmolested RX7 and I cant believe the price!

Any recommendations...

stay away from them i was with them on my first 95 rx7 and they were nothing but trouble, im with tesco now on a highly modded 93 rx, best to try a few specialists.

The problem is i am with flux at the moment for my 200sx, and I only renewed in december... so i am guessing I will have to cancel with them and lose some money!

yeah you dont get any money back cancelling your policy (well next to nothing) from what i remember tescos dont insure under 25s.

best to try admrial, norwich union, elephant and bell they were the most reasonable, you are slightly older than me so should get a better quote but if i had my parents on my policy with a 4000 a year mileage for 10 months it was about £1800 with 2 years ncb driving 4 years at 21. no crashes and a sp30 that was the best i found, im going to do another ring round in march (or whenever the weather clears up) as its sitting in my garage waiting for winter to pass :)

Adrian flux will usually match a quote from another company, so it may be worth your while getting a few quotes from elsewhere then asking Adrian Flux to match it. They are normally very good for me, I\'ve been with them for 4 years now. :yes

i think admiral will insure you for cheaper

you will probably only loose an extra months worth as a cancellation fee

when i asked adrian flux about a cancellation they said you hardly get anything back if you cancel

That\'s weird I just got back £61 from having less than one month to run on a policy on my old car! They\'ve always been pretty good from what I\'ve seen. £780 fully comp including breakdown cover, 28, 3yr no claims. Tesco wanted £1200 as did Direct Line and a few others.

Oh yeah, that\'s with exhaust and intake with cat 1 alarm.

i went with elephant £750 on my standard 92 fd 5 years ncb and an old lady on the insurance (knocked £200 off just by adding my mum 8oD )

elephant == admiral
and iirc tesco == direct line
