Post by: zerocool on January 03, 2006, 08:41:03 PM
is there anyone who can give me abit advice with the starting prob im having with me fd3s?
i was driving home one nite in the wet when my rx cut out n wouldn\'t start again.i\'ve tryed everything under the sun to try n get it started again.
new plugs
unflooding technique
tested egi relay
coil packs
checked for fuel blockage, fuel pump relay n fuel ok
tryed towing rx.it started but abit smokey at first  but soon cleared.car is runing rough n won\'t idie.
after trying all of these i thought i must have blown a seal!!!!!
compression tested engine got readings of 6,6,7 on rotor 1 n 6,7,7 on rotor 2 but it was a cold nite when i did this so your meant to add a bar.
for what i\'ve been told this is ok.
my rx has a singe turbo greddy t88 n all the goodies to run it.
it has a hks fcon pro ecu.
if any one can help it will be much appraciated.
as im running out of ideas n feel like putting a match to it.

Maybe the ECU has thrown a wobbly?
If you have a stock ecu or even an Apexi that may help you to determine by putting it on in place of the Fcon.
Where are you?

If the ecu is from a 92-95 car and your t88 fd is also of similar age then fitment will be OK.

If you do the ECU swap and the car runs then don\'t drive it hard, just use it to make sure that you know your HKS ECU is the problem.
The Apexi may not be setup for the mods you.
