Title: FD3S Silver
Post by: Gman on December 31, 2005, 04:42:40 PM
Can anyone tell me what this colour is called and the eqivilant spray can colour you can get.  I don\'t have the standard bonnet so i can\'t check.

Also is there any particular primer and filler to use on aftermarket bumpers.

Thanks :Viking

John - i though it was on the underside of the bonnet but will take a look.

Grinder - Thanks, will do. *edit that colour is too dark and not the original silver*

FD3S silver should be "Silverstone Metallic". Paint code was 3L (on the UK car, anyway).

For my current car, I eventually went to Halfords. I did try Mazda directly, but they said they couldn\'t supply their own colour, \'cos it was an import!! Tried Halfords on the off chance, and they actually had the code on their listings.

They sell Silverstone touch up pens, so you should be able to get larger quantities (cans etc) if you need to.

HTH! :chat

If you want to double check then it should be at the back of the engine bay, probably just off to the left of centre iirc (on a metal strip). Edit: Ie. not under the bonnet.
