Title: What paint??
Post by: Richard on December 30, 2005, 05:05:25 PM
Before fitting a set of nolathene suspension bushes ,I\'m having my track control arms and various brackets, washers, etc. sand blasted.

Now the question is - what should I paint them with :3Confused

Any advise please? - do I go with Hammerite or some such other brand, should I go primer/two pack, or possibly some other option?

Any suggestions greatfully received.

Cheers,Rich :Thumbs-up

I had all the suspension bits on my kit car powder coated ... that was really tough. No idea how much it costs though ? (was included in the cost of the kit)

Thanks for that Mike - I\'ll look into it :cool

Hi Bob,

They are Aussie bushes made by Noltec  http://www.noltecsuspension.com/

Their UK importers are Mocom Racing  http://www.mocomracing.com/default.asp

Noltec had some tooling probs so I\'ve beeen waiting nearly 3 months - but I was quite happy to wait because uprated parts for a 1000 are as rare as rocking ..... ....

I\'ll put some pics up later.

Rich ;)

I would suggest using two pack stoving paint, although not quite as hard as powder coating if you do chip it wont let water underneath and crack and peel.
