As above.
All of a sudden, my door has decided not to open from the outside. I can open it fine from the inside, but the outside handle doesn\'t do anything and seems a bit stuck. I\'ve taken the door card and handle off, and it all appears to be connected ok. When I look inside the door and use the outside handle, I can see the little metal bar moving and something on the lock appears to be moving, but it still won\'t open.
Any suggestions?
spray some wd40 on the bits inside the handle that should work,
both mine were stiff,i did the d/s and forgot to do the p/s,,
now iv broke the p/s handle off,
Yeah WD40 on it should fix it, I had to stop the missus tearing my handle off when it got stuck lol
Bit of wd40 on it and no problems since.

I think theres been a bit of confusion. The handle moves and the mechanisms appear to, but it sticks a bit and nothing happens. The handle isn\'t jammed in place.

If you remove the handle, there are 2 rods. 1st rod (thinner rod) is for lock/unlock and the 2nd rod (thicker rod) is to open the door. Both rod operate the same manner, pull up and push down. I think the 2nd rod is not pushing down (to open the door). Check the mechnism inside and fiddle around it. Hmmm do check the L shape metal, I think is has something to do with pushing the 2nd rod down. Hope this helps...

Had the same problem on my 626. It was a small spring that was on the linkage between the lock rod and the door opening rod. It was located where the two rods are linked together on the inside of the door just by the actual lock. The spring is about 8mm in dia and about 14 - 16mm long and is covered by a plastic sleeve.

Had a similar prob with mine of late, I had to take the whole outer section off the door to push/pull the locking rod (can\'t remember which way it was) otherwise the door opening rod wouldn\'t release the door - not sure if the remote locking motor is on the way out as it does it every now and again. Only since it\'s turned chilly that I\'ve had this prob.

If this is only happening in the cold it is probably the grease in the locking mechanism motor has become solidified. They can be stripped down and regreased. Best to get one of a breaker and try that first, ask Dandan he may have one.

im having the same problem. sprayed with wd40, feels looser, but aint fixed it. the thicker rod isnt pushing down all the way to release the catch. if i love it with a screwdriver when the doors open and the doorcard off and open with the handle, the rod moves down a bit, but its the tiny buit extra needed to open the catch. if i reach into the door and puch it down with my hand it releases. seems like something has either stretched or something as its just a couple extra mm and it\'ll release my catch.
bit annoying....
