Will I need any extra tubing or mounting brackets etc ? I am buying some stuff off this guy, does a nice line in steering wheel hub and wheel kits, and grounding wires, so makes sense to get other stuff I need also in 1 go.
Quick responses appreciated.
Simon..
That is very cheap for a greddy bov mate. And i think the type rs is blue anyway!!!!!, i think the advert should read \'greddy style\'. If you did buy this you would need a flange that fits to the bottom and allows you to attach it to the boost hose. Hope this helps, regards Andy. :WaveBye
Hi Andy,
Yeah they do a kit with a flange adapter. How easy will that be to fit ? I have just purchased the Apexi twin cone induction kit if that makes any difference. That will be going on at the same time.
Will I have to modify the fitment of the existing recirc valve ?
Cheers, Simon..
Well if it is the correct flange for the job, (ie FD3s specific) it should take minutes to fit, although i did find that it was a right pain to fit my apexi bov as my hks filters where in the way, in the end i had to mount it backwards and get a longer tube. However, if it comes with a typical greddy flange, i think they require welding to an intercooler pipe :Hammer but i could be talking rubbish. If you look at this hks bov that i found on electronic bay, you want a flange that attatches to your bov then bends 90 degrees to acommodate the boost hose! (and the right diameter so the hose actually fits it!!) Think this reply could be more of a hinderance than help, but at least i tried :bandit. There must be someone on here with one fitted and have a camera at hand?!?
I should be on the tele with computer drawing skill like that. :Typing
Can you guess what it is yet ?? (laughter)
Um, thanks I think I get the idea. I\'ve bought the thing anyway, I\'ll give it a go. In my experience, an atmospheric bov is an atmospheric bov, you can pay more or less, they all do the same thing.
Cheers for the help Andy !
I\'ll take some pictures of how my Blitz Bov is connected up tomorrow, you may need to fab some of your own stuff up to make sure it doesn\'t rattle around, but it\'s fairly straightforward.
