Title: can you help! silicone boost tubes
Post by: matrx7 on December 19, 2005, 05:28:53 PM
I keep having boost tubes going on second turbo, on my last rex i got all the tubes changed for silicone, but got someone else to do it and it ended up costing me a few quid. I would like to have a go myself this time, how much hassle is it for a novice, coz i know its like spagetti junction?? Also does anyone know of anywhere you can buy the hoses and what size?? Thanks

The Turbo pipes them selves are a dodle to do, any muppet with a screwdriver can fit them as they only go one way!!!!
But if your on about the vacuum pipes under the plenum then thats a different story!!!
A bit of time to be taken doing that job!!

From what I have heard a novice can do it but it\'s advisable to take your time!! There is a hot to on this somwhere on MRC!

I\'m looking at doing this at some time and what I normaly do when in unfamiliar teritory is number every pipe thats disconected (pipe & recieving pipe) so you know they are going back ing the right place!!

I know this isnt much help, Sorry!!

is quite helpful

there are a range of sizes and somewhere on the net i remember seeing a kit that stated the lengths and sizes of the pipes you would need
