Title: Downpipe question
Post by: probedb on December 15, 2005, 09:45:39 AM
Hey all,

I seem to remember reading on here we can\'t use the US downpipes that you get on ebay and the like, something to do with the steering column?

Does that mean I need the HKS one? My car will have HKS filters, HKS back box, will I be ok with just the downpipe (still got a main cat) and no Apexi FC??

Can you tell I\'m a newb? ;)

Cheers.

Paul.

At 235 posts you\'re not that new! :D

The problem with the american downpipes is that they don\'t need to cater for the steering column running down that side - you can still use the american downpipes, but it will need to be modified slightly so that it doesn\'t not clash with the steering column.

As to other types that are available: I\'m sure there are others than just HKS!
