what are the differences between the japanese version with 280bhp and the europ./us version with 240bhp?

higher boost?????
another exhaust????

280BHP was only the later model Jap ones so not really comparable. Year-for-year the difference is less, Jap 255BHP - UK 235BHP,

Difference is apparently due to tuning to cope iwht our lame fuel and also there is a Pre-cat as well as the main cat on the UK cars which accounts for a fair bit.

and if i wanna buy a mapped ecu

i never see in desciption: only for jap spec....
