Title: I really need some help
Post by: DarranJones on December 10, 2005, 12:36:24 PM
Ok, for the past 3 weeks my FD\'s been off the road because I have some stickage somewhere between the accelerator peddle and where the throttle cable hooks onto the throttle body in the engine bay. Only thing is, I\'m not sure where it\'s sticking.

So far I\'ve purchased a new Throttle cable and I can work out how to replace that myself. Only thing is I think that inbetween where the cable goes from the peddle through the firewall and where it re-appears again coming out the bulkhead on the engine side there must be some form of lever/pulley system, but I can\'t get to it to take a look or fix it.

Does anyone know how I can access this section of my car. Do I have to take a panel out of the footwell? or do I get access from the bottom of the car?

Can someone shed some light on this? I\'m pretty sure some of you will have the info I need and it\'d make my life a lot easier because then I wouldn\'t have to dismantle half my car.

Cheers,

Darran.

It\'s ok, emergency over!

It was just me being a nugget  :Hammer . It didn\'t look like the throttle cable was long enough to reach the peddle. My eyes playing tricks on me  :2eek

My car works again! Yay!  :driving

Thanks to everyone who replied to my posts, and to everyone I phoned begging for help.  :cheers
