Title: 13b Engine stand
Post by: Jovic82 on December 06, 2005, 12:10:05 PM
Anyone know whether you have to have a specific engine stand for rebuilding a 13b tt? know it might sound stupid but never done one before and cant find any info on it!

also where is the best place to get measuring tools, vernier calipers, dial gauges, micrometers etc?

any help appreciated

Cheers
Nick

I recently stripped down a 12a engine and bolted it up with a few minor mods and a bit of ingenuity (sorry, spelling?!)

no idea on the measuring tools, anything half decent usually costs a fortune and I\'ve never had much luck with the cheap stuff

thanks mike

the one im looking at is just a standard engine stand but wasnt sure if there are extra pieces to put in hear and there to mount up a 13b.

been looking on chronos ltd for measuring stuff and it looks fairly priced.
anyone used them before??

cheers
