Hi guys, just a quick question is this true when refering to 550cc injectors from the Series 5 Second Generation RX-7 (FC3S):
"i\'d been advised not to use them in an FTE because of their apparent narrow spray pattern being like a hose rather than a sprinkler, in the 13b they run a defuser under them to atomise the fuel in a piston motor you cannot run these "
Ignore the FTE that refers to a 4EFTE engine which is what in my starlet. I\'ve been offerd a set of these injectors but i\'m getting very mixed reports so thought it would be best to come and ask the guys that will know :yes

I\'ve not heard of this before..... quite intreaging i may add. (please ignore my spelling not my strong piont)
they do run a diffuser but i\'m not about the spray pattern. The inje are made by denso as far as i am away, i wouldnt have thought there is that much difference between injectors. I thought the diffusers were used to help prevent flooding which rx7\'s are prone to. The easy way to check is to get one, plug it in and have a look.

Many people use this injectors on Skyline GTR with very good results. I dont see anything wrong about this injectors and no reason not to use them on a piston engine.
