Mmmmmmm, that looks tasty!!!! Thought about putting the Efini swirl in the top? I do like it though. you should nock out a few and put them on the site, looks like a few people would buy them....... especialy if you banging them out on the sly, price would be cheep as chips for us buyers???? How much would you be looking for the 2 caps (brake & power steering)????

how does £10+ p&p sound for the brake cap cover but if the powersteering one is wanted £20 posted for the pair as it is a fair bit smaller,

i will have to buy the material if i\'m doing a few as we mostly use plastics so it would get noticed.

i thought about doing the efini emblem but will have to see if i can draw accurately first, there is no problem programing the machine to do it once ive drawn it.

They can be done with a smooth top (ie no spiral machine marks on the top surface) but i thought it looked kind of cool.

note this would not include the cap it would only be a cover for the existing cap,

i will knock a few out anyways :D

Dean,
if you want a redrawn Efini logo..... I\'ve got it on my PC here and now!! Let me know what format you would need it in and I\'ll see if I can save it for you. got the Mazda flying M aswell if you want that? and most of the RX7 logos!!!!!

At £20 I wouldn\'t mind a set........ like the efini logo on it though if poss???

Keep me informed,

Jono

sorry should of explained it a bit better

i ve got the efini as a jpeg but need to create it on a 3d modelling package, i would therefore need it as a DWG, DXF, SOLIDWORKS FILE or you could extrude it as solid and put it as an IGES, solidworks part OR Parasolid.

The only way i can do it i believe is to trace the logo with a spline tool but dont know how good i can get it yet, i will try tomorrow.

Mr Flowers,
Just checked and I\'ve saved the Efini logo as a DWG & DXF for you, dont know if I\'ve done it correct but if it works it would save you the time re-drawing!!! Send me your email address and I\'ll send them across for you!!

THERE YA GO, it does take more time to put the logo on so there may be a fiver extra on the cost for the logos, making them £25 for the pair posted.

the grub screw is in the wrong place on the top pic so it wont be that obvious on the finished ones, still learning.

I\'ll have a pair - how do you wanna take it. I\'d like the ones with the efini logo on!

Hi mate - i\'ve measured my caps. The dimensions i have for them is as follows:

Brake Reservoir Cap - Width: 53mm, Depth: 14mm
Power Steering Reservoir Cap - Width: 44mm, Depth: 18mm

All measurements give or take about 1mm. Sound about right to you?
Title: got bored in work....made some bling
Post by: deanflowers on December 03, 2005, 10:59:02 PM
that what i thought the replacement brake cap i have from mazda is 18mm deep, i will make them for 14mm deep no problem

ive got asp to measure his with a vernier for me so we should be right now

I\'m up for 2 pairs for RX-7\'s. Unfortunately I won\'t have my Corolla for a few days, as it\'s away getting some work done.. When I get the Corolla back, I\'ll measure up the caps.

I guess it might be possible to put on the "N" for the Newera Logo? That would look cool, I guess. Better than "Toyota\'s" Logo!

BTW, how many grub screws will you use? Can we have 3 or 4?

Cheers

all power steering ones are the same, and 99% of brake ones are too, most brake caps look exactly the same as the power steering one, but some look different and are deeper, i have measurements for both, the most common one is 14mm deep the other is 18mm deep.

Iam fitting them in as and when at the moment, ive only managed to do 3 top halves this morning of the brake caps so i\'m afraid you will have to bare with me, i will intially make 10 sets then another 10 sets which will save me having to set the machine up continuously, i have been asked for about 8 or 9 so far.

it will probably be a couple of weeks at this rate but hope to speed things up

list

jono fd3 - 1 BRAKE CAP COVER (EFINI), 1 POWER STEERING CAP COVER (EFINI)

OK guys, sorry for the interuption to normal services but as you can appreciate this is a difficult matter to judge, as by selling these caps you are effectively becoming a trader and as you know that is not permitted and is unfair to our existing traders who have paid out to sell products on this forum.

After much discussion we have come to the compramise that we will allow this thread to be reinstated but locked and ask that no more orders be taken.

I hope you can understand our position.
