Just ordered a two pod gauge holder, one slot is reserved for a boost gauge but not sure what to use the other one for.
I was thinking either Exhaust Gas temp, oil temp, or air/fuel ratio
Any advice?
Also do gauges come with all the necessary sensors, etc or do you have to buy them seperatly, brand I was thinking of is Defi if that makes a difference.
Cheers
Andy
get water temp as the stock one is supposedly poo and temp is very important
Andy, if you get the Defi gauge from Nito/Jane at Defi Shop (http://www.defi-shop.com) you will get quoted for everything included.
Depending on the mods you have, I would want to fit an oil temp gauge with your boost gauge. That way you will know that the oil temp is up to temp before playing.

What thinking about that orignally but then I found this:

So was thinking about doing this to the water gauge, hopefully eliminating need to replace it and leaving me a spare gauge slot. Has anyone tried or had any success with this?
I\'d say oil temp ... you\'ll get more use out of than an exhaust temp or air fuel ratio gauge (most aren\'t that accurate anyway)

Andy, that mod is a bit flakey and doesnt always work. Some have done the mod, then removed it again because it gave some funny readings.
Dan
Defi gauges are good because they match all the stock colors and backlighting etc :)
If you are looking out for overheating then water temp is the one to go for. If you want to know if your engine is up to operating temperature then go for oil temp.
Jane/Nito, UK distributors for Defi gauges, are at //www.defi-shop.co.uk not //www.defi-shop.com.

Anyone know of a good quality gauge that has a blue backlight?
Have just bought a set of dial faces which are blue and would be cool if they all matched.
The new Blitz BLM meters are suppose to be pretty nice.....black background but with blue iluminated numbers and needle.
Cant get the pic to download...but heres the link.
