+£60fine probaly....

Mobile camera??

What you need is an Origin B2 or similar, so you won\'t get caught out again!!

Bob- I know a place that sell\'s these with the now illegal mobile detector, PM for details... (hopefully they\'ll have some left!)

You can do up to 30mph over the speed limit i think before you need to worry about bans etc. i got done in a 30 zone doing 56 or something and i only got 3 points and a £60 fine. Copper hiding behind tree with his gun.

there are certain limits for each speed....well there was when i phoned up once after being caught by a gatso, i was doing 60 in a 40, she said up to 70 would be a fixed penalty, anything over court date. Would go with the 30mph thing, pretty sure its same for 70 limit, under 100 fixed 100 or over court. Perhaps 30 is a little more strict

Thats very harsh!!!
Most of the time they allow you up to a 10% difference + 2mph to allow for any error in your speedo and their equipment. So in therory you should be able to get away with up to 35 in a 30 zone and so on. but of course this is depending on how much of a git the police want to be on the day.

I got 3 points and a £30 fine some years ago now for doing 47 in a 30. point have gone now so doesnt matter anymore.  :p

I love setting of all the camera on emerencys in the ambulances. Makes up for all the times i have to slow down in my own car :rollin

I agree prosecuting for 32mph is taking the p...
My own theory on this, is that if we all drive along with our eye\'s glued to the speedo, for fear it may drift a few mph over the limit, we are actually driving much more dangerously. Eyes should be kept firmly fixed on the road ahead not nervously down at a flickering speedo needle. A one second lapse whilst you are doing this could be fatal. But this is of little interest to the authorities, they pay lip service to road safety but it is quite clear that speeding fines are effectively just one more form of motoring tax - along with parking fines of course.

Uhmm 150mph down the M4!! - do you have any idea how many yards to the gallon you\'ll get out of an FD at that speed?? :chat

Wow crazy stuff,

As for the origin thread topic the likely outcome is 3pts + £60 fine, dont worry Jail is not an option just for that matey unless you robbed a bank and were doing a getaway  :rollin  :rollin  :rollin

As for 32mph thats a real p!ss take, fight that one all the way !!!! its becoming a joke soon there will be no cars on the fooking roads left, unless thats what they want ?

I flew up a local road after a redlight stoppage and its a 40mph road upon reaching quite a higher speed i realised after looking in the rear mirror there was a police car right behind me  :rollin  :rollin  :rollin  slowed down and at next lights they pulled up next to me and said "didn\'t see us straight away then" ?

I said "funny enough no, sorry guys"

But they were cool about it  :god
