Title: Injectors Bosch 850/1000/1300cc uprated-part No\'s??
Post by: rx7_bhp500 on November 15, 2005, 04:36:31 PM
Hi

Has anyone tried Bosch uprated injectors ?
I\'m going to be buying various bits over a couple of months for Single turbo
conversion + uprated injectors + ecu etc etc...

Assumptions:
Top feed injectors would require aftermarket injector rail.
FD injectors are always low impendance ?? std are 13.5 ohm ..?
Q1 = does an Apexi (for eg) adapt for high or low impendance, are there more
choices when it comes to injectors?

I have 3 options :
1. expensive = injector rails + top feed 1000cc or 1300cc Sard\'s or whatever.
2. budget = existing rails + Bosch side feeds (if they exist)
3. budget2 = 850cc x4 using existing rail...

Q2 : Is anyone aware of correct Bosch part No\'s for 850/1000/1300cc side feeds ?

Thanks

Has anyone tried Bosch uprated injectors ?

they are few people out there running 1680cc Bosch units, so YES!

YES them will do!

NO, 13,5 OHM are HIGH impedance. Low imp- units are in range of 2 Ohms.

Runnin PFC will requere to use high impedance. Can be done soldering 10 ohm resistors into Inj. wire.

They are no 1300cc SARS (or also called DENSO) units avaliable. If anybody sell them as 1300cc them may be bored units. Only 1000cc DENSO units are avaliable. Them can be used with SARD fuel rail. Running 4x1000cc will give you arround 520 Flywheel HP.

Never heard about such big Bosch side feed injectors.

Quote from: rx7_bhp5003. budget2 = 850cc x4 using existing rail...

very common setup, will requere some tuning job on PFC, good for about 450 flywheel HP

They are no such big Bosch side feed injectors on the market.

Will the PFC cope with running low impedance injectors with no resistor in series ?

Or will it pop the output transistors ?

I have heard of people running low resistance injectors without a resistor with no issues.
