Title: 1994 FD Alternator parts numbers
Post by: shaunwil on November 12, 2005, 07:51:43 PM
Has anybody got a list of the parts that are used in the standard alternator. Bloomin thing isn\'t charging after the powdercoating session and im looking at getting it repaired. Would be helpfull if i supply the parts numbers for the rectifier, stater etc. to the guys looking at it.

I\'ve tried all the basic stuff and have a good continuity on the ground and no shorts, but no real joy.

I haven\'t checked the rectifier, plus i think the brushes have seen better days. Going to leave it to the professionals !

Wished i\'d checked it before the powder coat as to have a reference on health.

Cheers

A member here is selling one on ebay at the mo, can\'t remember who though. Do a search, sure they put a link to it in the for sale section.

Cheers mate, amazingly i actually won the alternator off ebay after sticking 25 quid max bid yesturday and it finished at £24.50 ! Its really rare that i actually have the highest bid ! So hopefully that should cover me till i have my powdercoated one repaired !
