Title: Suspension Q\'s
Post by: Steve Burnett on November 04, 2005, 04:06:21 PM
When it comes to suspention I know very very little so have some question I would like answered.

Now, I know that there is the main suspension, shocks and springs but what else is there on the FD, front and rear. I mean by this trailing arms, suspension bushes and mounts, I know why its all there but not what each part actually does (if you get my meaning). Could someone give me a breakdown of the cars suspension,

i.e. Trailing arm - front suspension of car, does ......., benifit of replaceing it? Rough cost of a replacemet, how many there are, etc etc.

I hope someone knows what im trying to ask.

There are some really good books on this, and I will try and find their names. But, and this is a good but. Leave it to people who know what they are doing.

Having incorrect suspension settings can and will change the whole character of the car. Some places like Leda have been doing setup\'s for years, and they know what they are doing. Take it to a back street garage and they could do an incorrect setup and well you know the rest.
