you need a datalogit really.
read this thread and there is a link to a PDF document with a guide on how to tune single turbos

Can anyone tell me what the value P represents on the map charts ? It goes from 1500 to 24015.
For example is 1500 -7 PSI and 24015 17 PSI
Thanks Nismo9
yep P represents load/Boost.
Of course if you want more then 17psi you have to buy a 3 BAR map sensor change your Pimm values and the resolution of your map then remap again
Blitzboy ,
would you be interested in selling a copy of your FC settings?

I ask because I live about 260 miles from the nearest good tunning company, so I would like to set it up but need a good base to start from. Looking at your spec we are running simular levels.
Maps are dependant on the engine that they run. Yes you can get base settings, but they need to be properly checked before running on a daily basis.

you have a Standard secondary Injectors where as I have 1680cc secondaries, so my map would not fit your car. Plus you need a FC Box/Datalogit and a laptop to connect into your Apexi ECU to Upload a Map.
You might need to take a day off to drive to the nearest Tuner, in your case probably Pip Gardner at WGT. The 300 quid or so he may charge will be well worth it though, Defo recommed uprating your secondary Injectors to at least 1300cc at the same time. You will defo run out of fuel for 1 Bar on your tubby with standard injectors
I am doing the uprated injector work over the winter period. Plus if the map settings were written down I could type them in on my commander.
Thanks anyway crispyj
You cant change the base map via the commander, you can only modify the fuel correction map, but this only allows a certain percentage of fuel change via the fuel correction map which wont be enough in your case given you have a street ported engine and Single Tubby.
What I would do in your case is carry on with your low boost setting for the time being, do your Injector work then in the Spring then have it mapped with a Tuner. Not only can they modify your base map but also Adjust your Timing and split timing, The Apexi timing map is a bit to advanced for higher up the rev range for a ported motor and needs retarding slightly.
Guys you REALLY REALLY DONT WANT TO BE DOING THIS!!!!

Fish have you actually read my above response to Crispyj, I am telling him that he needs to go to a tuner
OK thanks for the info. Do you know any one a bit nearer to me ( East Anglia ) who can set up the car.
Thanks Crispyj
I think Gary Gooding might do that kind of stuff, can\'t recall the name of his company though! He\'s in Ipswich I think.
If Gary can do it he\'s gonna be the closest, if not Carl from Hayward Rotary and Pip at WGT are both similar distances away (approx 200-250 miles).
As a fellow east anglian who has to travel miles for mapping, I normally try to tie it in with a weekend away or something, take an extra day off, drop the car off and have it mapped, then have a couple of days somewhere nice with doris, make the drive up there bit more worthwhile :)
Ah thinking about it im sure carl does mapping at Tdi in essex if you want it done on a set of rollers as opposed to the road, not sure where in essex that is though.
I think Gary in Ipswich (G&A Racing Developments I think) may be branching into mapping soon IIRC so worth getting in touch with him, his email is powerstakgg@yahoo.co.uk
