Title pretty much sums it up!
Seen on the gearbox guide that its about 2.5 quarts for the gearbox, but not sure how much the diff holds?
Would a total of 5 litres be enough to change both?
5 litres will do it the gearbox holds 2.5 iirc and the diff is somewhere arount 1.3
Cheers fella, i already ordered 4litres before I saw your reply, just changed it to 5 to make sure ive got enough in case of any spillages, anomolies, etc :D
Can i ask what oil you going for scuttle? redline?silkolene?
cheers Bob
going for silkolene, syn5 75w90 fully synthetic for both gearbox and diff :).
Will give that a try, then at next change will have a go with the royal purples I think :cool
i would be interested to know if you can notice any difference at all Scuttle, especially the gearbox,
cheers Bob
Will post up my findings matey, should notice a difference, havent had the oil changed in either since ive had it (2 and a half years) so definately due a change, not that theres any signs of anything wrong at the mo :)
Im not sure exactly where the fill plugs/etc on the diff are, will the KG parts diff brace ive just put on need to be removed to change the oil?
From the install pics i cant see it blocking any drain/fill plugs...
Done at the garage today, £47 to change oil in gearbox and diff which aint too bad, and it saves me the hassle! my luck lately I would have just messed it up and spilled oil all over myself :D
Drives nice, gearbox feels a bit slicker, and diff sounds better (can hear it a lot with diff brace, also have all rear trim removed at the moment)
