Title: How Low? 99-spec bumper and lip?
Post by: probedb on October 31, 2005, 12:40:58 PM
Does anyone know how low the 99-spec bumper and lip are from the floor? I know it obviously depends on whether or not the car is lowered but was just wondering compared to my current car (about 4/5") which i\'m selling but is a bugger for high speed bumps!

Mine is 6.5" along the front, and 5.75" round the corners, just in front of the wheels. Car is std.

Hope that helps!

Hi

Mine is exactly 5" off the ground but I clear all the humps and I live in London

If you have adjustable suspension (mine is tein) you can set the ultimate height of your car.

Indecently if you do not mind, why are you asking, are you buying 99 spec front car?

99 Mazda spec nose has a detachable "lip" and it is easy to respray / touch up unlike other front bumpers - ones you damage the bottom, you have to repair / replace the lot...

Regards,
Michaelb

Cheers :)

Michaelb, I\'m pretty sure I\'ll be after a 99-spec bumper as I prefer it over the older one. I\'ll be getting an older car though. Looking at the RotaryExtreme urethane kit...though I do need a car first ;)

My current front bumper is around 4" and clear most bumps except the stupildly illegal ones.
