Title: FD Side/indicator lights going opaque
Post by: noyzboy on October 30, 2005, 11:22:58 AM
The front sidelights of my 1997 FD are going opaque and rather grey. I was recently parked next to a couple of other FDs whose side/indicator lights were crystal cleat.

Is there a way of polishing up the lights with something that will restore their clarity, assuming that were clear originally

Can anyone advise on this.  I believe replacements are pricey.

Are you sure the other guys had the same type as yours? I think the \'99 on cars had clear lenses as standard rather than opaque?

If the indicators were opaque originally as manufactured, then they\'re not going to polish up.

Thanks for the info.

There were some clear indivcators offered for sale some time ago but they were £100...which is too much  for a minor cosmetic change.
It\'s two fill ups !!
