Title: Apexi PFC readings?
Post by: Steve Burnett on October 29, 2005, 09:08:44 PM
I took my car out today for a right good seeing to! Red lined in 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th.
What do you think about the readings? Ignore the water temp as that was when I started it up. The water temps were about 95.

Inj Duty = 86.3%
IgnT Ld = 51deg
IgnT Tr = 51deg
Eng Rev = 7515rpm
Air Temp = 60degC
Boost = +0.76kg/cm2
Knock = 43
Wtr Temp = 104degC

They seem okay? I think the inj duty is a bit high.

Well im dont know much about much really, but i would say that your knock readings look nice and low injector duty is on the money. The IgnT Ld and the IgnT Tr im not sure about but mine read 48deg. But your water temps and air temps look high, i get readings of usually 82-84 degrees and around 25-40 for air temp.

As already been said, air and water temps look a little high. Mine runs at about 85-90degC for the water and 35-40degC for the air. but this all depends if im out on the open road or stuck in traffic of course.
Rest of your reading look ok to me :)

Steve get someone with a datalogit to set yopur fans to come on earlier.
With air temps that high I wouldn\'t floor it.
Timing is fine that is showing you  51 while coasting not under boost.
Duty cycle is at what I said it would be on the other thread, hence if you had fitted the intercooler you would see that hit 100% no problem. 86% is ok.
Knock is dependant on who tunes the car. I guess 43 is ok but I tune so I don\'t see above 30 on boost but that\'s just me.

Air/water temp looks high but as already stated:

Boost 0.76 = 86.3% - i would say if you are looking in the near future to increase boost then the injectors will require replacement.

I think last time i ran mine @ 1bar in 2nd gear went upto 8100rpm hit 89.9% inj duty, so same goes for me  :spank
