Title: More power please.
Post by: Rotorboy65 on October 29, 2005, 02:00:05 PM
Ok now my Rex is laid up for the winter months, I have time to save up money (hopefully) and do a few things to the car. Top of my list is can I get it to go quicker?. I already have the following basic bits, larger downpipe, decat pipe, blitz backbox, apexi induction kit, greddy smic, apexi power fc ecu. Apart from these basic bit\'s I would like to eek out more power.

My Rx is also an auto so realise it\'s never gunna be as quick as a manual. Was told that it would be best to leave the standard radiator in place as this also cools my autobox, is there away of putting in a better rad/intercooler to bring out more power?

Would a better fuel pump help, or higher flow injectors, would it be better to lose the air pump?.........lot\'s of questions just looking for good idea\'s really. Anybody out there have an auto kicking out big power?, would like to convert to a manual box but just don\'t have the funds for this option. Come on peep\'s help me out here would really like to see about 300 bhp out of this car at the wheels. Also anyone got any bit\'s hanging around they would like to sell at a reasonable price ;) .

Idea\'s please mucho needed........thanks Leigh.

Oh yeah still wanna keep the twin setup but is there away of making this more responsive?

I\'d definately get rid of the air-pump to get the extra ponies. Car seems to rev better too. Also weighs alot too, so makes car lighter :)

Are you running stock boost ??

Maybe water injection and a remap would be a good move.................
