So, thats 196 at the wheels, 340NM torque (240ftlb).  They reckon 250 at the fly but I think its more like 230 at the fly.
+30bhp from changing the exhaust, not bad for a start :D

i reckon its about 240 at the flywheel according to the scale of dividing the rwhp by 0.82.
Good figures for a stock engine,  what boost you running?

About 0.8bar at the moment.

i have been wondering Brett , did you see any boost creep while running it on the dyno? what about knock? did they explain the bump towards the top end of the power curve?
Title: Dyno result
Post by: Brett on October 30, 2005, 10:48:37 PM
Boost was pretty stable peaked at 0.8bar then slowly settled down to about 0.7bar
Knock was pretty non existant as far as I\'m aware. (I had no codes posted anyway)
That bump is a mystery, one that should be sorted by an ecu!

whoa that was fast cheers mate.

Im confused a little now, i thought that putting your stock restrictive exhaust in the bin would give you all kinds of trouble!?

may i assume you havea boost controller?

Car was in the following state for the Dyno run;

Decat exhaust
K&N panel
Knightsports FCD
Full tank of Optimax

Thats the 2nd run I think, the 1st was a little higher, after that it went down hill rapidly \'cos we could not get enough airflow over the intercooler. (There blower was set a bit too low so heatsoak became a problem)

brett, I see your running a k+n pannel filter mine has a hks fitted tryed a blitz cone filter today and did\'nt notice any difference (apart from the noise ) how good is the standard air box or should I stick with the blitz ? good power for the mod\'s , gives me an idear what mine should be running . :D

From experience the cone types are ok if you guarruntee a good air flow to them, I had one in the EGI that was good whilst on the move but suffered from heat soak if stationary.

yep thanks for the response, although im still considering options, i can wait as i have other things to do first.

lol I dont want to fall into the trap of trying to keep up with Brett!   i think it might be very interesting to see that when you get the ECU is to give it a bash on the old R/R and see what difference it makes. i think i will be defo about getting a panspeed ecu depending on the result.

How long is the delivery anyway? IIRC doesnt customs class this as electronic equipment and try to sting you for more tax!???
