Title: 02 Sensor effects of it being faulty or not being there
Post by: BlitzBoy on October 28, 2005, 02:34:38 PM
Finished my Single turbo conversion this week finally, but I have not hooked up the 02 Sensor. Now the question is what is the effect of a faulty 02 Sensor or it simply not being there?

if u are running a apexi no effect because it doesnt use the lambda sensor..if on standard ecu runs like a sack of **** and gobbles more fuel

cool thats what I thought , I do run the Apexi ECU, I have been running around on it and after the car is fully warm I give it a bit of WOT and boost and I get heck a lot of grey smoke (which I assume is fuel rich) so Im thinking its the base map is running real rich, I was thinking by the O2 Sensor not being there it was causing the ECU to overly enrich the mixture.
The reason for my confusion on the datalogit there is an option to tick or unitck "02 F/B Control" what does this option do?
