Title: Fuel problem
Post by: 907 on October 20, 2005, 08:18:48 PM
I live on the Isle of wight and in the fuel depots infinate wisdom they have decided to stop selling super due to a lack of storage and demand.
So my question is what should I do.
Run an addative, if so what one.
Add methanol as my addative.
Get it mapped to run standard unleaded.

Oh and what effect would this have on power.

The car is a 92 jap import fd3s with decat, apexi filters, apexi power FC and was recently mapped by reworx to .9 bar producing 316.6 rwhp

Get your car remapped with 95 RON fuel in. Simple really !!

Mapping to 95 will mean you probably lose a bit of power, as the higher octanes allowing for more agreesive timing, but it probably won\'t make a huge amount of difference...at least, that\'s my understanding!
