Post by: Sy. on October 19, 2005, 05:35:18 PM
*waits to be shot down*  :flamed

Apart from running the boost pipe though the wheel arch and taking the liner out/wheel off etc  .. is there a better way to get the pipe from the engine bay to in the car to run a boost gauge ?

Taking the wheel liner out and the wheel off !!!?? is that how people do it?, i spent ages looking around the pedals to try and find a hole to run the pipe thru, was almost going to get the drill out :eek and start making a mess, when i looked over to the other side of the engine bay and there is a massive hole with a few wires and a big gromit thing? Luckily my pipe was very long about 3 meters ;) and i fed it thru there and into the passenger foot well, then found a hole thru to the drivers side then up, took about 10 minutes. :bandit, i dont think this is for one minute how it is supposed to be done, but good job my middle name is bodge-job

I drilled a hole through into the cavity behind the drivers side wing from drivers side footwell,( Lot of wires there) which comes out to the left of the side indicator light, then take the indicator light out, then from engine bay push coat hanger wire through the large rubber grommet where there are cables from engine bay into cavity behind wheel arch liner, hook the tube pull it out of the indicator hole and then  pull it right through into drivers side footwell and take the tube up to the right of instrument panel,
Worked for me,
Bob
