red top,,really good

Got me brother :flamed .....we used to use them in the one make racing series with the VW POLO\'s and the only reason why we used them is cos the damm POLO\'s use be be on their roof more than on there wheels :rollin ...HEALTH and SAFETY you know...we dont want any acid burns... :spank seriously thou...i still prefer it when sex was safe and motor racing dangerous...now sex is dangerous and moto racing TOO safe... :evillaugh
yep I agree Oldone that motoracing is too safe nowadays, they keep lowering the power of F1 , next season instead of 900bhp 3 litres we gonna get 2.6 700 bhp how boring

Yep you gonna get me going....i come from the days where men were men, woman double breasted and sheep scared...NOW woman are flat chested ,your sons have boobs and sheep have rights and unions... :rollin
You mean something like this Mr Oldone......(and not that it matters but I thought they where going to use 2.4liter ones? - oh why dont they just use 20b+turbo and budjet tyres! :D :burnout )
oh dont know why someone thinks that the hat is a fuel pump!
James Hunt..what a special guy!
Look, he doesn\'t give a sh*t....even for the advertisers cap! :evillaugh
He epitomises.. "LIVE FAST DIE YOUNG"....That he did..by the way Old One, the gals of today tend to mature a lot earlier, but i\'d rather no silicon and a minge with a hint of bush! :yes :D
Pete
bring back the days of the 1500 bhp 1.5 turbo F1 cars, now then you saw overtaking and racing and loads of breakdowns and unreliabilty was soo entertaining the days of Senna,Mansell,Prost etc
thats what im talking about

Aside from the lasck of overtaking in current F1 unreliability really buggered up this season in terms of close competition... Gotta feel for Kimi.
now my perfect F1 car would be, 500kg, 1500bhp,slicks,active suspension and ground effects all that good stuff that was banned.
BLITZBOY -----------WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO PAY YOUR SUBS AND BECOME A FULL MEMBER-----------Just a passing moment of sanity from the hog. :spank

Wnder what the record is for the number of posts from a non member :wiggle
There ought to be a prize [not free membership] :rollin
I think Sadgoth has got that record at the mo with well over the 1000 lol
Well my car will be on the road next week, this battery was the final part to get.
So I will have no more excuses not to join next week lol
oh just remembered I need to get a HKS Filter for my turbo lol...(Blitzboy gently whistles quietly round the corner and hides lol)
BlitzBoy - I got exactly the same battery as you and some new terminal connectors to go with. Did you fit the new terminal connectors yourself or did you have to go to a car radio place to get them to crimp the connectors on?
Also was wondering how you plan on fixing down the new battery?
As with F1, bring back slicks, and reduce the aero parts that cause dirty air so we can get closer racing and overtaking oppertunities. Went to Spa this year. Nothing can replace the raw sound of the 3l V10\'s as they scream over 18,000rpm. Not sure what to expect from the 2.4l V8\'s!! But it is a sad time in F1!!
oh I didnt have to any of that, when I ordered my battery the place I ordered it from supplied me with these Pole connectors that has a hex type bolt in the middle of it, so simply unscrew the small bolt from the terminal that came with the battery, then screw in these Pole Connectors then I fasten it simply with an Allen key, they look really neat. Then the normal Mazda female battery connectors just fix onto the poles like normal.
I have fixed the battery down by using the old battery Tray cutting it in half then attaching sideways instead of length ways, then using two attachments supplied with my intercooler kit fixing the battery down to the tray.
I will take some pics tonight
I can remember, not long after I got into F1 I also used to watch the CART races when channel 5 showed them. That was a fantastic series, always full of drama, excitment and overtaking. The street courses really gave an impression of speed. And when it rained on the street circuits - that was mega, seeing all the cars squirm around when they came on boost :yes
I always go to watch the F1 at Silverstone but there is less and less of an arguement to how good it is!
Cool, look forward to seeing your pics. Where did you get your connectors from? I\'d rather get those than the ones i have, makes life much easier.
Cheers
Dre
The connectors cost £14.95 from Apexperformance

I rang up and ordered it, very helpful over the phone
BlitzBoy - Just phoned up and ordered my terminals. Cheers mate, it\'s saved me a lot of hassle. :cheers
Is your car up and running now? Your spec is very similar to mine. Can\'t wait to get mine back on the road and do my 1000 miles of running in!!
:burnout
well it is running, I have to finish a couple of bits and bobs now eg I need a bit of exhaust made up to attach the downpipe of my turbo to the exhaust system, hopefully get that done this weekend.
What turbo you running Dre?
I\'m running the R85 turbo kit. Have to get the manifold altered as its designed for a LHD car so hopefully may be on the road in the next couple of weeks!
:burnout
good turbo the R85.
Im surprised you have to modify the manifold , I was looking to buy one before I went for my T04Z and I was assured by Keith at KG Parts that the manifold fits all LHD and RHD cars.
Yeah if fits but the wastegate pipe rubs against the steering column, so need to get it modified. I can take pics tonight and post them tomorrow for you to see.
I hope it is a good turbo. I placed my order in April and rec\'d all the kit in October so it\'s been a long wait for me. Some guys in the US have managed 10 second passes with this turbo @ 22psi of boost!! :D
I\'ll have to wait till next year to see if i can get anywhere near their times! :3gears-rh
T04Z looks cool too. Do you know what the a/r is and how much boost it can flow??
yep the Exhaust A/R on mine is 1.15, the sweetspot for my turbo is 22 psi (but you can run it up to 30psi quite easily but then you outside its efficiency range) like the R85. It should get 500 rwhp ++ at 22psi , so yeah tens quite easily with the right drag tires and suspension and Driver.
Damn there are gonna be a lot of quick Rotarys next year :3gears-rh
Cool, Keith told me the A/R on mine was 1.15 too and has run it up to 28 psi but his dyno chart shows a 4th gear pull at 25psi showing 600+rwhp on a street ported engine.
I have a 1/2 bridge on mine to help things along! :D
:3gears-rh
There will be loads of quick rotary\'s next year. Still contemplating wether to run WI or methanol!
What are your plans or are you just gonna stick to pump fuel?
gonna run up to 15psi on pump fuel only then 22psi with WI
defo use WI from 15psi onwards just to add a safty factor and you will get loads of free HP
yeah will do. We\'ll have to meet up down the drag strip once we are both up and running properly.
yeah should be a laugh spinning up our wheels trying to get traction on the strip with drag tires lol
attached pics of my battery in the car
James Hunt, what a special tw4t! He could whingh even more than Mansell.

Get a metal AST!..and IF you upgrade your radiator, you may have to move your battery.Chamone

Good quote....I won\'t smoke/drink/grow longish hair or tash/be boring....Ooooo, Sod F1!!! :p ;) :wave
BTW, i am a sinnner from the above!! :cool
Pete
BlitzBoy - Thanks for the pics of the battery. Terminals look cool. Hopefully my terminals arrive today. My AST is mounted the same way, got it with my Greddy FMIC. It\'s good to see the bracket that you get with the kit can be used with this battery.
Look forward to seeing your car down the strip.
