Hi,
can someone tell me the fuel tank capacity of the above stated model please? I am going to calculate my mpg
thanks.
I believe it\'s 72 litres

Chris, I usually put around 50-55 litres at any fill up. This is about 3/4\'s to the redline.
Dan
You don\'t neet to know the tank capacity to do an MPG check.
For a start you don\'t want to run the tank dry.
Fill it up - use most of the petrol and refill it - see how many ltrs it takes to refill - convert to gals - divide miles done by gals used.
Yep you\'re right johnf, but me being too excited on the first day of getting my car; I forgot to check how many litres I put in. But I do know (roughly) how much fuel (%) was already in the tank, how much the fill up cost, how much per litre for higher octane unleaded fuel (http://www.theaa.com/allaboutcars/fuel), how much fuel is left and how many miles I have done. So I can get a rough figure for now which is...
22.73 mpg +-2.23 mpg
That was mainly motorway driving and being very light footed as it was the first weekend of ownership :D
All this equation bashing means I will remember to check how many damn litres I am pumping in next time! :yes
thanks.
You may well hold the record if those figures turn out to be right:D
:) I was driving slow enough to drive Miss Daisy :p
Had read and taken on board all the stories of how the RX-7 can bite you if mistreated. Being used to driving a 1.4 Clio doesn\'t help :( so I was definetly cautious with my pride and joy.
lol i wish i got that many mpg!
the way i drive it i am lucky if i prob get about 16-17mpg, prob less to be honest!
Oh I can certainly see that mpg figure dropping as I get used to the car, don\'t worry about that! :p
