how many miles should io do to run in a 3rd gen ?
also what is the max rev i should use
and does anyone know where i can get a speedo conversion to miles

I am just running in.
I was told 1000 miles under 4000rpm then gently ease a little more rpm every hundred miles or so.
Service at 1000miles, some say service at 500miles but I wasn\'t told that was needed.
Im trying to remember now, it was something like:
1k miles under 3k rpm
oil & filter change at 500 or 1000 miles
1k miles below 4k rpm
then slowly build it up from there, not using boost until 3k miles.
I remember getting told a lot of different things. Ask the engine builder, or call one of them up.
Pip told me 4k limit for 1000 miles then a change of oil and check over. After that he said if I was planning on keeping the car keep it less than 6.5k for the next 500 - 1000 miles and after that as you please or if I wasn\'t keeping it for any length of time he said it was fine to redline but that would shorten the life of the engine. Needless to say I was gentle with it.

i have done a 500 mile oil change and done about 700 miles so far
previous owner used second turbo a couple of times which i was worried about do you think it will be ok?
1,000 on standard seals should be fine for run in. You don\'t want to be giving the car lots of boost when running in due to the strain it would put on the seals. Whats your knock reading (if you have a PFC and commander)?
knock reading is about 50 under 3500rpm but went to 72 when i tried it to 4500rpm once
think my sensors maybe screwed tho.
