Title: 185 bhp on the wheel
Post by: samfc3s on October 13, 2005, 03:38:12 PM
Got my FC to WGT this mornin for a check.....

After dyno is got about 185bhp from the wheel at 0.5 bar boost as PIP said this is a safe guard for the car as it is mapped for japanese fuel so my question is

1)how much power my engine is puttin out??
2)does it really cost that much to clean injectors i got quoted 180 pounds?
3)will the FD injectors fits fc? is the FD injectors better than FC??

Thanks in advance

Sam

about 225 bhp at the flywheel based on fd transmition losses, i dont suppose there is much difference between the two.
2)does it really cost that much to clean injectors i got quoted 180 pounds?

Pip cleaned my 4 FC injectors and 2 850\'s for 50 quid plus vat

No, FD injectors wont fit,  they are side feed not top.  Ihave 1680cc bosch in my stock FC fuel rail,  10 minute mod to the rail and a 10 minute mod to the manifold did the trick and you can get bosch injectors from most places and any flow you like.

0.5 bar is about stock for an FC, i would have thought you could have gone up a tiny bit more!

Thanks in advance

Think the £180 is prolly for the actual removal, cleaning and then refitting the injectors in the car..

no, its easy, just keep taking things off around the upper inlet manifold until you can get to the rails, then unbolt the rails and pull the injectors out, they are push fit.  You may need a new gasget between LIM and the upper.  should be about a fiver
