Post by: ceendee on August 21, 2003, 07:51:33 PM
we seem to be having a lack of power problem on our 92 type x  the exhaust is blown  to bits (back box) etc we have purchased a Blitz cat back system and am fitting it this w/end as we havent been under the car yet we are not sure about the cat  could someone please tell us if this is a straight removal and bin it job or if its a little more complex than that ?

Its not that hard, the only pain is remembering which way around the bracket between the exhaust and the road goes around. Get it wrong and you\'ll get a knocking noise.

Hi Ceendee,

Yes you can remove the Cat and replace it with an aftermarket mid pipe but.....

If you have other bit n bobs like intake, Down Pipe you may run lean on that one occassion, the free flowing exhaust system can create a problem called "boost spike or creep" both are different problems.... For more info use the search button as this subject has been discussed in depth before.

Regards...
